Producer’s notes
Every 3D printer reaches the end of its career eventually. Most get a quiet retirement at the back of a cupboard. My old Ender 3 got promoted.
RA1 is a robot arm built from that old Ender 3 and, to quote the official project notes, “some love”. The parts that used to print things now spend their days moving an arm around instead, which is the kind of career change most of us can only dream of.
It’s a work in progress, and very proudly a version one. It moves, which is the main thing you want from a robot arm, and the video is the proof. It only gets better from here.
